Someone recently slipped into my comments section to tell me that I was being “completely dishonest” for running an iPhone Duo giveaway without revealing how that giveaway is going to be, erm… given away.

What a lovely world we live in, eh?

As I briefly explained to that individual, we’re not running an ITV game show here; we’re a small business that has bought an iPhone Duo to give to someone in exchange for their email address. That may indeed be why you’re reading this now (and, if so, thank you!). Equally, we’ve not revealed how the winner is going to be drawn, when that will happen, or how we’ll prove this isn’t some huge scam to get you all sending me your email addresses so I can attempt to sell you Dead Pixel Club wallpapers. And maybe t-shirts.

It isn’t a scam, obviously. And as for when, where, who, why, and how… if I take a peek at my Apple Store order status as I type, my iPhone Duo order is “being processed” (how many of you are checking your order status hourly at the moment?), and should deliver between the 2nd and 9th of November. This is the iPhone Duo one of you very lucky people will be receiving, wherever you happen to be in the world and however much it costs us to send it there (even if that’s via police-flanked horseback). As you may know, iPhone Duo availability and delivery windows are somewhat… fluid at the moment, so we can’t confirm when the draw will be made until that box is literally sitting in front of me.

I do have my review unit iPhone Duo, though, and I’ve already offered my initial thoughts on the YouTube channel. As noted in that video, rather than rush out a review this week, I’m going to really get acquainted with the Duo and reveal my full thoughts next week. And boy do I have a lot of thoughts already.
