😯 Does The MacBook Neo Spell The End Of Windows
Could this be Apple's greatest ever product?
THIS WEEK’S UPDATE
Is the MacBook Neo… what I think it is?
This week, I attended Apple’s spring launch in London. And it was a big one for one very specific reason.
Apple has spent all week releasing new products into the wild. The iPhone 17e and M4 iPad Air arrived on Monday, followed by two new Studio Displays (finally, eh?!), two new chips (and two new MacBook Pros that contain said chips), an M5-powered MacBook Air, and, finally, the brand-new MacBook Neo.
This has given my team and me a lot of work to do in the best possible way. It’s the same with every big Apple event; search traffic increases substantially, and the number of YouTube videos and short-form content we can produce off the back of the announcements always borders on being totally overwhelming.
This one feels different, though, and it’s because of the MacBook Neo. This is a completely new product from Apple and, just like the iPhone Air last year, it gets me very excited indeed. It’s an unknown quantity, and we won’t know what it’s really like or how it’s received until regular folk spend their hard-earned money. However, having had hands-on with the Neo already (at the launch event), I suspect it might be one of the best things Apple has ever done. Possibly. Maybe. Full review coming next week, etc.
I dive into these thoughts - and introduce you to our dog, Nala - in this week’s Tech Diary vid. Enjoy.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
uCloudlink: Comprehensive Connectivity!
uCloudlink had one of the most impressive booths at MWC 2026. Instead of getting distracted by whatever was on-trend, they got on with solving actual problems. Take the eSIM Trio, which makes older devices compatible with eSIMs, preventing them from being thrown away prematurely.
Or the MeowGo G50 Max, which combines satellite, in-flight, and terrestrial networks to give you constant connectivity. They even have the new petpogo ecosystem that allows you to maintain an emotional connection to your pets when you’re absent. There’s even more in their lineup which you can check out on their website!

MacBook Neo Hands-On: Is This the Laptop That Kills Windows
As soon as Apple revealed the Neo, everyone had seemingly already made up their minds; this is Apple’s best-ever product when it comes to offering value for money. And this feels like the obvious conclusion. What remains to be seen is how this MacBook will affect the competition, and I think Windows manufacturers should be very afraid…

Amongst all of the Apple madness, Google launched the Pixel 10a, which has already caused a lot of controversy for not being different enough from the 9a. I’ll leave my video to speak for itself, but I don’t think it’s that simple.

👨💻 Claude code is changing my life. (Oliur Online) - It’s been a while since I’ve watched any of Oliur’s stuff, but he’s a lovely guy, and this video reminded me of why I used to devour so many of his videos.
🪥 This Porsche Made Me Feel Human Again (Porsche 718 Cayman GTS Review) - The Next Drive - We’ve had to take a temporary break from content on the car channel recently due to a wave of tech releases, but more content is on the way very soon.
